Nut-Free, Gluten-Free Stuffing

Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and I’m gearing up to cook an epic feast that’s nut-free, gluten-free, and also includes dairy-free and vegan options! One of the trickiest items is stuffing, a dish usually full of gluten..and nuts. Today is also National Stuffing Day, which felt like the perfect time for me to share a few of my favorite recipes and pre-made allergen-free (nut-free and gluten-free specifically) stuffing mixtures.

Don’t Worry, Eat Happy!

After transitioning to a gluten-free diet a few years ago a cuisine that has been largely off limits for me has been Chinese food. While I love egg rolls and dumplings, there are very few restaurants that offer a gluten-free variation on the typical gluten-filled recipes. I was excited to learn about Feel Good Foods, which was started by food-loving celiac Vanessa Phillips and accomplished chef Tryg Siverson. Now offering frozen gluten-free egg rolls, dumplings, empanadas, taquitos, and full Asian meals. I was lucky enough to speak with Vanessa and learn a bit more about Feel Good Goods.

Gluten-Free Summer Meal Swaps

Summertime is synonymous with sunshine, backyards, beaches, and BBQ. Given that National Hot Dog Day happens this month I felt inspired to create my own Allergy Free Wife spin on the typical hot dog meal, replacing the hot dog with a fire-roasted fuji apple chicken sausage, trading in a traditional wheat bun for a gluten-free variety made with whole grains, and swapping out fries for baked lentil chips.
